Reinsurance price decline likely to persist through 2018: Moody's

U.S.-based ratings agency Moody's Investors Service Inc. has said that it expects pricing in the reinsurance industry to decline by up to 5% this year and possibly in 2018, Artemis.bm reported. "Ample supplies of alternative capital, including meaningful amounts waiting on the sidelines for pricing to improve, will likely cap any meaningful price increases, at least over the medium term," said Brandan Holmes, vice president, senior analyst at Moody's.
