Former Woodruff-Sawyer chief joins Ryan Specialty

Ryan Specialty Group L.L.C. on Monday said Charlie Rosson has joined the firm as senior vice president. 

Mr. Rosson, who will be based in San Francisco, was most recently CEO of brokerage Woodruff-Sawyer. He left the San Francisco-based brokerage in September and was succeeded by Andy Barrengos.

He currently serves on the board of directors for the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers.

“Charlie is a true insurance professional who will assist RSG to continue accelerating our growth,” said Patrick G. Ryan, founder, chairman and CEO of Chicago-based Ryan Specialty Group, in a statement.
