Hub International adds to Canadian business

Hub International Ltd. said Wednesday that it has acquired Mainline Insurance Brokers Inc. and its Indian Head Agencies (1980) Ltd., R&J McKay Agencies Ltd. and Cathedral Insurance Services (1995) Ltd. units.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Grenfell, Saskatchewan-based Mainline is a property/casualty and personal lines insurance solutions provider.
Mainline CEO Doug Trapp and the Mainline team will join Hub Manitoba, Hub said in a statement. 

Chicago-based Hub is the world’s eighth-largest insurance broker, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
