London must create competitive ILS regime: GC Securities

Des Potter, head of U.S.-based GC Securities, Europe, Middle East & Africa, has said that failure of the London marketplace to create a competitive insurance-linked securities regime will be a "massively missed opportunity," Artemis.bm reported. "If London doesn't become competitive in this market, then what I will predict is another jurisdiction will, and it's likely to be somewhere in Asia, be it Singapore or Beijing," Mr. Potter said.
