New Zealand insurer expects quake claims to reach $30 million

Conrad Wilkshire, chief operations officer of New Zealand-based Fmg Insurance Ltd., has said that the insurer expects to receive at least $40 million New Zealand ($29 million) worth of claims from the earthquake that stuck Nov. 14, Radio New Zealand reported. Fmg has received about 700 insurance claims from 500 businesses so far, Mr. Wilkshire said.
