TigerRisk Partners L.L.C. has appointed Xuejun Wang as chief executive of its Hong Kong subsidiary, TigerRisk China Partners, effective early next month.

Mr. Wang, who is replacing Houqin Zhu, will be responsible for building the firm’s presence in mainland China, the Stamford, Connecticut-based reinsurance broker and risk and capital management adviser said Monday in a statement.  Mr. Wang came to TigerRisk China Partners directly from Willis Re's Beijing office where he was executive director.

He will be based in Hong Kong.

“We are very fortunate to have attracted such an experienced and distinguished professional to head our team in China,” Rod Fox, CEO of TigerRisk Partners, said in a statement. “Mr. Wang’s inspired leadership, reputation among his peers and keen understanding of the insurance marketplace in China will be of tremendous value to our clients.”
