Five Russian banks hit by DDoS attacks

Distributed denial of service attacks have hit at least five Russian banks, ComputerWeekly.com reported. The attacks were partly enabled by hijacked Internet-of-things devices and were similar to the DDoS attacks on U.S.-based cloud-based Internet performance firm Dyn Inc. in October. The affected Russian banks claim that online services were not disrupted.
