TigerRisk hires former Guy Carpenter executive

Former Guy Carpenter & Co. L.L.C. senior executive Patrick J. Denzer has joined TigerRisk Partners L.L.C. as a partner, the reinsurance brokerage said Monday.

Mr. Denzer, who was chairman for the Americas of Guy Carpenter before he left in 2012, most recently was involved in financial investing in the Minneapolis area, where he is based.

He joined Guy Carpenter when the broker bought Minneapolis-based John B. Collins Associates in 2009.

Stamford, Connecticut-based TigerRisk is a privately held reinsurance broker founded in 2008 by Jim Stanard, former CEO of RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd., and Rod Fox, former CEO of the U.S. operations of Benfield Group Ltd., which was later bought by Aon P.L.C.
