Hurricane Matthew causes about $30 million in damage in North Andros, Bahamas

Edison Sumner, chief executive of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employer Federation, has said that Hurricane Matthew is expected to have caused damage between $20 million and $30 million in North Andros, Tribune242 reports. These figures were a "guesstimate" based on the field assessments and reports coming from the island, Mr. Sumner said. Losses ranged from the "total loss of physical presence" to inventory loss/damage and damaged equipment and facilities, Mr. Sumner said.
