Hub International names Midwest execs

Hub International Ltd. on Tuesday said it has appointed executives to lead the national staffing and specialty practices for its Midwest region.

Edward W. McConnell has been named senior vice president and national staffing practice leader for Hub International Midwest. Mr. McConnell will be responsible for employee benefits brokerage and consulting services with a national focus on the staffing and PEO industry, Hub International said in a statement. Previously, he was vice president of employee benefits at Assurance Agency Ltd.

In addition, Clint W. Anderson joins as president of specialty practices for Hub International Midwest. Previously, Mr. Anderson owned his own agency third-party administration service, Anderson Land Services L.L.C, according to the statement.

Both executives are based in Chicago.

Hub International is the eighth-largest insurance broker worldwide, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
