CNA names chief underwriting officer in Canada

CNA Financial Corp. said Tuesday that it has appointed David Price senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for CNA Canada.

Mr. Price’s appointment to the newly created role is effective Aug. 9.

Based in Toronto, Mr. Price will be responsible for underwriting oversight and governance for all products and lines of business written within CNA Canada’s commercial and specialty lines, CNA said in a statement.

Previously, Mr. Price was an executive forAIG Insurance Co. of Canada’s property and specialty risks and financial lines, according to the statement.
