Economical Insurance taps former RSA Canada chief as it seeks to demutualize

Economical Insurance Group Ltd. has tapped the former chief executive of Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Co. of Canada as it looks to become the first Canadian property/casualty insurer to demutualize, The Record reports.

Rowan Saunders will be the company’s new president and chief executive officer starting Nov. 1. Mr. Saunders had served as the CEO of RSA Canada since 2003.
