JLT Re snags Marsh exec to business development role

JLT Re, the reinsurance arm of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C., said Thursday that it has named Pete Chandler executive vice president and managing broker.

Mr. Chandler will have a key production role and lead JLT Re's national business development in the U.S., a JLT Re spokeswoman said in an emailed statement on Thursday.

Previously, Mr. Chandler was the leader for the western region at Marsh L.L.C, JLT Re said in a statement.

Marsh announced in May that Mr. Chandler had been replaced as leader of the broker's West Zone. No further information was provided by Marsh about Mr. Chandler's status at that time.

Mr. Chandler will be based in San Francisco, according to JLT Re's statement.
