Runoff specialist Darag to acquire Italian insurer Ergo Assicurazioni
Posted On: Jul. 21, 2016 12:00 AM CSTDarag Deutsche Versicherungs- und Ruckversicherungs-A.G., a European run-off insurance specialist, has said that it agreed to purchase Italian insurer Ergo Assicurazioni S.p.A from Ergo Italia S.p.A., The Malta Independent reported.
It will be Darag's first transaction in Italy. The acquisition is subject to the approval of the Italian insurance regulator IVASS.
