Chubb offers new coverage for solar plants

Insurer Chubb Ltd. has launched a new insurance coverage for owners of solar plants the United Kingdom and Ireland, Solar Power Portal reported.

The new policy covers all risks during the construction phase. The policy will cover more than £1 million ($1.3 million) during the construction phase and will offer operational cover for the first year, with an option for a second. Risks covered under the insurance include construction-phase casualties, delays in start-up and primary liability cover.
