JLT Re acquires Latin America broker's portfolio

JLT Re, the reinsurance arm of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C., on Thursday said it has acquired the portfolio of Lima, Peru-based Olsa Re.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Olsa Re is a Lima, Peru-based reinsurance broker that specializes in construction, mining, energy, oil and aviation, serving Colombia, Ecuador and Costa Rica, JLT Re said in a statement.

Olsa Re aviation brokers Jose Espinosa and Clara Escobar have joined JLT Re Peru to manage the aviation line, according to the statement.
