Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics to pay $100 million fine for price-fixing

Norwegian shipping firm Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics A.B. has been fined nearly $100 million by the U.S. government for price-fixing, The Daily Star reports.

WWL is the fourth shipper to plead guilty in a U.S. Justice Department investigation into price-fixing for roll-on roll-off vessel services to U.S. ports between 2000 and 2012. "WWL and its co-conspirators cheated their customers for years by fixing the prices of ocean shipping services for cars, trucks, and other cargo essential to our nation's economy," an official said.
