Christchurch City Council seeks more insurance cover for underground pipes
Posted On: Jul. 7, 2016 12:00 AM CSTThe Christchurch City Council in New Zealand is negotiating more insurance cover for its $6.3 billion New Zealand ($4.5 billion) worth of underground pipes, reports Stuff.co.nz.
The council's current NZD 100 million worth of coverage for its pipes expires in September. It is now working on new options to increase coverage for the pipes. The council recently secured $1.8 billion worth of coverage for its above ground assets, following a deal with Vero Insurance NZ Ltd.
