Marsh & McLennan unit opens new actuarial office

The actuarial practice of Oliver Wyman Group said Tuesday that it has opened a Dallas-based office, its second in Texas.

The office will be led by Manuel Guerra. Previously Mr. Guerra was the regional actuary for American International Group Inc., according to the statement.

“Manuel brings a wealth of experience and exemplifies our commitment to providing high quality and value-added services to our clients. Working with Scott Whitson, our regional leader located in Houston, the new Dallas office will expand and enhance Oliver Wyman's south central actuarial practice, and strengthen our local presence in a key city in the region,” Chad Wischmeyer, Atlanta-based partner and head of Oliver Wyman's property and casualty self insurance practice said in the statement.
