Flood damage bill expected to exceed $75 million

The government of Australia's Tasmania state is expecting the damage bill from recent floods in the state to exceed $100 million Australian ($75 million), reported ABC Online.

Record rains have hit three regions of the state and eight rivers are still in flood. Launceston city Mayor Albert Van Zetten expects the cost of repairing flood-damaged public infrastructure to be millions of dollars.
