Tornado causes heavy damage in Hamburg

A tornado hit the German city of Hamburg and caused significant damage, reported Bloomberg.

The tornado uprooted dozens of trees, damaged a power line and blew off the roofs of several buildings. Europe has been already hit by destructive storms in June. The recent storms and floods in Germany and France are likely to generate higher-than-expected claims for insurers. Fitch Ratings Inc. had said that storm claims could hit €1 billion ($1.13 billion) in Germany.
