Insurer, broker offer wide-ranging drone coverage

German insurer Allianz S.E. and specialty risk broker Transport Risk Management Inc. have teamed to develop an insurance program that will provide liability and hull coverage for commercial unmanned aerial systems exposures.

The policy covers all uses and all models. It also includes worldwide coverage for operators, manufacturers, retailers and service providers, online training, online safety support, and online flight support, Conifer, Colorado-based Transport Risk said in a Wednesday statement about its Unmanned Risk Management program.

Liability coverage is up to $500 million and hull physical damage is up to $10 million, according to the statement.
