Insurer pushes into carwash sector with acquisition

Alliant Insurance Services Inc., based in Newport Beach, California, on Tuesday said it has acquired Western Carwash Insurance Program.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Western Carwash Insurance Program is an insurance solution for carwash owners and operators, providing property/casualty and workers compensation insurance.

It is the exclusive insurance program of the Sacramento, California-based Western Carwash Association, Alliant said in Tuesday statement.

The program is led by Sam Furno. He and his management team and staff will join Alliant and continue to service clients from its Western Carwash’s Sacramento, California, offices, according to the statement.
