Liberty Mutual Insurance made three senior appointments in its commercial insurance operating unit.
Mike Fallon was named president, national insurance, Steve McAnena was named president, business insurance, and Tracy Ryan was named chief claims officer. All three executives will be based in Boston, according to a Liberty Mutual spokesman.
Previously, Mr. Fallon was chief financial officer, commercial insurance. Mr. McAnena was president, Liberty Mutual benefits. Ms. Ryan was chief product officer, commercial insurance, Liberty Mutual said in a Thursday statement.
Mr. Fallon takes over for Mark Butler, who recently retired. Mr. McAnena takes over for Mike Hughes, who recently retired. Ms. Ryan takes over for Glenn Shapiro, who serves as executive vice president, claims at Allstate Insurance Co.
Liberty Mutual Holding Co. Inc. on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $403 million, a 48.2% increase over the first quarter of last year.
