Cybercrime prosecutions rise by around 34% in Britain in 2015

Data from London-based law firm Pinsent Masons L.L.P. revealed that the cybercrime prosecutions in Britain increased by around 34% to 61 in 2015 from 45 in 2014, RT reports.

The figures relate to the number of defendants who faced prosecution and not the number of successful prosecutions.

"The fact that prosecutions continue to rise in this area is promising, and indicative of the efforts the authorities are making to get to grips with tackling what is a highly complex issue," said an official.
