Honda to recall further 21 million vehicles over Takata air bag defect

Japan's Honda Motor Co. Ltd. vice president Tetsuo Iwamura has said that the carmaker will recall a further 21 million vehicles globally to fix faulty airbags made by Takata Corp., reported The New York Times.

Honda is now recalling 51 million vehicles in total.

Honda also reported loss in its fourth quarter because of expenses stemming from the recall.

Honda set aside 436 billion Japanese yen ($4 billion) for airbag-related costs for the financial year that ended in March.
