Cyber insurers seek more data to provide appropriate coverage

New Zealand's insurance industry is seeking more data on cyber attacks to provide appropriate cyber insurance cover to clients and price their premiums accordingly, reported Interest.co.nz.

The lack of data is preventing the industry from making the most of cyber insurance.

Delta Insurance New Zealand Ltd. general manager Craig Kirk said that although the cyber insurance market is still small, it is growing rapidly.

Insurance Council of New Zealand CEO Tim Grafton said that the cyber insurance industry has "massive growth potential."
