BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Marsh L.L.C. said Tuesday that brothers David and John Fuhrman are joining the firm effective immediately.

Both men most recently worked at Willis Towers Watson in western leadership roles.

David Fuhrman will be based in Los Angeles, where he will lead Marsh’s West Zone, replacing Peter Chandler and will report to Rob Bentley, president of Marsh’s U.S. and Canada Division. Most recently he served as Willis Towers Watson’s national partner for the California region. He served in numerous local and regional leadership roles in the western United States, including 18 years with Marsh earlier in his career.

“Deep industry knowledge and expertise are among Marsh’s greatest assets and play a key role in our ability to deliver differentiated value to our clients,” John Doyle, president of Marsh, said in a statement. “Dave’s client advocacy, deep relationships in the Western region and significant operational experience make him ideal to lead the Western Zone for Marsh.”

David Fuhrman will succeed Peter Chandler. No additional information was provided about Mr. Chandler’s status.

John Fuhrman will lead Marsh’s Pacific South Partnership and its four offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix and Irvine, California. He will be responsible for supporting clients in a variety of industries. He will be based in Irvine and report to David Fuhrman. Most recently, he was a managing director for Willis Towers Watson’s Orange County operations.

A Marsh spokeswoman said John Fuhrman is not immediately replacing anyone, as the position has been open.

“John Fuhrman is a highly-respected leader, and we are pleased to welcome a seasoned and accomplished executive of his caliber to Marsh’s West Zone leadership team,” said Mr. Doyle.
