Volkswagen to set aside billions more to cover emissions scandal costs

Sources have said that Volkswagen A.G. will set aside more money to cover the cost of the emissions scandal from the currently reserved €6.7 billion ($7.61 billion), reports Reuters.

The sources said that the automaker would make provisions for a double-digit billion-euro amount in its 2015 results on April 28. An analyst at U.S.-based research firm Evercore ISI expects the scandal to cost Volkswagen about €30 billion.
