Heavy rains, floods claim at least 38 lives in Afghanistan

Officials said that flash floods triggered by heavy rains in northern Afghanistan have claimed at least 38 lives and destroyed several homes, reported Press TV.

Badghis, Takhar and Samangan provinces have been hit by the rains.

Floods damaged at least five acres of agricultural land and 20 houses in Samangan province.

Officials said that severe flooding have blocked the main transportation routes.
