Damage assessed as Japan quakes hit manufacturing firms, automakers

The operations of several automakers including Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. and Honda Motor Co. Ltd. have also been hit due to the quake.
Toyota Motor Corp. said its operating profit may be reduced by around 30 billion Japanese yen ($277 million) for the current quarter as the quakes disrupted parts supplies.
