Toyota recalls 390,000 vehicles globally

Japan's Toyota Motor Corp. has recalled about 390,000 vehicles globally owing to a problem with fuel pressure sensors, reported Reuters.

The recall covers 64,000 vehicles in Europe, Oceania, Asia and other regions, and about 326,000 vehicles in Japan. The recall in Japan includes the Crown, the Lexus IS250 and the Mark X sedan.

Production periods of the affected vehicles range from December 2003 to October 2007. Vehicles recalled outside Japan include the Lexus IS250 and GS300 vehicles. Toyota also recalled almost 17,000 Crown and Crown Majesta models in Japan over issues with the stereo amplifier system.
