Lloyd's chair looks for further growth in Dubai

Lloyd's of London chairman John Nelson said at a recent forum that Dubai is an extremely important regional hub for insurance and reinsurance, Middle East Insurance Review reports.

Lloyd's Dubai platform wrote about $90 million in premiums in 2015 and aims to write premiums worth $120 million by end of 2016. Mr Nelson said that the medium and long-term prospects for Lloyd's in the Middle East are "extremely attractive" in spite of the current hiccup in the global economy.
