AIG may cut 125 jobs in U.K.

Sources have said that American International Group Inc. may cut 125 jobs in the United Kingdom as it scales back in some nations and moves jobs to lower-cost locations, Bloomberg reports.

AIG has revealed its plan to reduce at least 200 jobs at five locations in New York City.

"To become a leaner, more profitable and focused insurer, AIG plans to reduce expenses by $1.6 billion through 2017," a spokesman for the insurer said in March.
