Lockton names chief operating officer for Pacific

Lockton Inc. announced Gary Petrosino as chief operating officer for the brokerage firm's U.S. Pacific operations, a Monday company release said.

Effective April 1, Mr. Petrosino will lead a team of over 500 in offices located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Encino, Irvine, and San Jose, California, the statement said.

He replaces Lenny Fodemski who is moving to the new role of executive vice president in Lockton's holding company. Mr. Fodemski will also serve as business advisor to Lockton's U.S. operations.

Mr. Petrosino was formerly executive vice president at Chubb Group of Insurance Cos. and started working for Chubb in 1978 as a marine underwriter.

Glenn Spencer, president of Lockton's U.S. operations and chief operating officer said in the statement that clients and associates in the Pacific region will benefit from Mr. Petrosino's years of experience working closely with their teams.

Kansas City, Missouri-based Lockton was ranked as the world's 10th largest brokers in Business Insurance's 2015 broker directory.
