Scientists warn of fracking quake risk

Scientists have found in a study that the fracking technology used to extract shale gas is likely to trigger a major earthquake in Canada that can cause considerable damage, The Yorkshire Post reported.

The study also found that almost all the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin's overall seismicity of magnitude three or higher has been induced by human activity in the last few years.
