Recent hijack raises security concerns at Egypt's airports

The hijacking of a plane from Egypt's Alexandria airport has raised security concerns at the country's airports, International Business Times reports.

The hijacking Tuesday follows just months after a Russian passenger airplane crash in Sinai Peninsula in October 2015.

The ISIS terrorist group had said that it smuggled explosives on board the plane concealed inside a soft drinks can at Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh airport.

Sajjan Gohel, a counter-terrorism analyst, said that after extra security measures were introduced following the Sinai crash, security may have "gone back to the usual way."
