Final insured losses from Mike-Niklas windstorm placed at $911 million

Windstorm Mike-Niklas, which hit parts of Western and Central Europe in late March and early April last year, caused insured property losses of about €816 million ($911.3 million), Perils A.G. said Tuesday.

The Zurich-based catastrophe insurance data firm has issued its final estimate of losses from the storm that hit Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The final estimate is reduced from a previous estimate of €826 million ($922.5 million) issued in September.
