Generali's gross premiums rise 5% in Romania in 2015

Romania-based insurer Generali Asigurari S.A.'s gross premiums increased 5% year on year to €108.5 million ($122 million) in 2015, Romania-Insider.com reported.

The insurer's net profit increased to around €15.2 million in 2015 from about €8.7 million in 2014.

General insurance sales increased 7.7% year-on-year during the year to around €92.6 million.

The general insurance segment accounted for 85% of Generali's total business in 2015.
