Car, food scandals drive U.K. product recalls to all-time high

Data from U.K.-based law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain has revealed that product recalls in the country increased by 26% to reach an all-time high of 310 in the year ended Oct. 31, 2015, The Guardian reports.

High-profile alerts in the motor vehicle and food industries fuelled the product recalls.

The number of car recalls increased 30% to 39 during the period, while the number of recalls in the food and beverage industry surged 50% to 84.
