Natural disasters cause economic losses of $46 million in China in February

China's Ministry of Civil Affairs said that natural disasters caused direct economic losses of about 300 million Chinese yuan ($46 million) in the country in February, reported Xinhua.

The ministry said that the disasters destroyed 1,600 hectares of crops and damaged around 8,000 houses.

Disasters such as droughts, earthquakes, floods, frost and snow hit the country during the month.
