U.S., German and Japanese insurers offer to provide services in Iran

Insurers from Germany, the United States and Japan have reportedly offered to provide services in Iran following the removal of sanctions, reports Press TV citing news agency IRNA.

The Central Insurance of the Islamic Republic of Iran has said that the International Group (IG) of Protection & Indemnity Clubs seeks to provide insurance coverage for Iranian oil tankers.

It said that the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control has lifted a ban on the American Club that restricted the IG member from covering Iranian cargos.
