Specialty insurer takes on environmental liability

Pioneer Underwriting Ltd. said Wednesday that Pioneer Special Risk has begun underwriting environmental liability.
The Exton, Pennsylvania-based team will be led by vice president Jessica Huhn-Kenzik. The team will provide property owners, developers and contractors with pollution and professional coverage. This coverage includes site pollution liability, Pioneer Underwriters said in a statement.
“Jessica and her team bring a tremendous background to this new PSR initiative and add significant value to the organization by virtue of their experience and long standing market relationships. We’re very excited to have them on board and open for business,” Gary Dubois, president of Pioneer Special Risk, said in the statement.
