Small businesses underestimate effect of cyber attacks: Report

A recent report by the U.K. government's Cyber Streetwise campaign and KPMG L.L.P. has found that small businesses in the country are underestimating the effects of cyber attack on their reputation, SME Insider reported.

The report also found that about 51% of businesses surveyed do not think they will be a target for an attack. Cyber attacks pose a risk to the quality of service provided by the businesses, said the report. About 26% of small businesses who experienced a breach found that the breach caused customer delays.
