Terrorism, upcoming elections pose risks for businesses: Report

Global risk consultancy Control Risks Group Holdings Ltd. has said in a report that terrorism and the upcoming general elections are among the factors that pose a risk for doing business in Kenya, reported Voice of America.

"The actual terror attacks aside, a major concern to businesses is the threat of these attacks which has the effect of deterring foreign investors from entry, investment or partnership with Kenya or Kenyan companies," a Control Risks official said. The report also suggests that the 2017 elections in the nation will likely result in heightened ethnic tensions.
