Insurers sue Moscow's Vnukovo airport over Total CEO plane crash

Five insurers have sued Moscow's Vnukovo International Airport and the country's air navigation service provider for losses incurred after the crash of French oil and gas firm Total S.A.'s CEO Cristophe de Maergerie's aircraft in 2014, reports Rapsinews.com.

Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance Ltd., Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance Ltd., Mapfre S.A., Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co. Ltd. and Great Lakes Reinsurance are seeking damages worth €10 million ($11 million).

The insurers have already paid €9 million for the airplane and €1 million to the families of passengers and crew who died in the crash.
