New Chubb appoints country presidents for Asia

Chubb Ltd. has appointed presidents for its general insurance business in Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea.

• Hong Kong-based Douglas White is president for Chubb in Hong Kong with oversight of Taiwan and Macau, a continuation of the role he held with Ace Ltd., Chubb said Monday in a statement.

• Singapore-based Greg Dodds has been named president of Singapore, subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Dodds is currently senior vice president and Asia Pacific zone manager for Chubb commercial insurance.

• Seoul, South Korea-based Edward Kopp is president for Chubb in Korea, a continuation of the role he held with Ace.

“With this announcement, we now have set the leadership in place for all countries coming together under our new Chubb banner in Asia Pacific,” Juan Luis Ortega, regional president for Chubb in Asia Pacific, said in the statement. “Doug, Greg and Ed join our previously announced leaders: John French and Matt Doquille for Australia and New Zealand, and Kevin Bogardus for China.”
