Iran unable to ship oil to Europe amid insurance woes

Iranian shipping firms have said that the nation's exporters are unable to ship oil to Europe as foreign tanker owners are struggling to secure cargo insurance, reported Reuters.

The sanctions on Tehran's shipping, insurance and banking sectors were lifted earlier in January.

But sanctions that were imposed by the United States have not been lifted, and several foreign firms are wary of violating them.
