World Bank says quakes cause 3% damage to Armenia's GDP
Posted On: Jan. 20, 2016 12:00 AM CSTThe World Bank Group has said that earthquakes cause about 3% damage to Armenia's gross domestic product each year and the group has launched the National Disaster Risk Management Program in the country, reported PanArmenian.Net.
The group launched the program with a $1.75 million funding to offer support to further advance disaster resilience across Armenia.
The nation is prone to earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters.
