Sources from Qatar's insurance industry estimate insurance premiums in the sector to have surpassed 10 billion Qatari rials ($2.7 billion) in 2015, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing the Al Sharq newspaper.

Total premium volume of the five insurers listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange had already surpassed QAR 7 billion in the first nine months of 2015.
